To clean, use a house hold cleaning product called, bar keepers friend [the powder kind, from target.] Add the solution to a bowl of water, and soak for 5-20mins. This works to strip the metal [copper/ bronze/ brass/ nickel] to a beautiful shine. Rinse thuroughly.
